ECHOES OF FREEDOM

$1,000.00

This piece is deeply personal — it was born from a moment in my life where I felt caged. Not physically, but mentally and emotionally. Like something within me was yearning to break free, to grow, to breathe. ‘Echoes of Freedom’ is a visual metaphor for that struggle — and the quiet, powerful strength it takes to heal and transform.”

You’ll notice the woman’s eyes are wide open, yet blank — representing clarity, yet silence. Her face is framed by cracked concrete blocks. To me, those blocks symbolize societal expectations, self-doubt, past traumas — things that confine us and mute our voices. But from those cracks, something beautiful begins to grow: branches, life, resilience.

The butterfly resting gently on her face is a key symbol — fragile, but free. It reminds us that transformation doesn’t always have to be loud. Sometimes it’s quiet, slow, but deeply powerful. And then, the flowers… each one is an echo of growth. Of blooming in spite of being boxed in.

This piece invites viewers to reflect on their own internal prisons. What are the boxes we put ourselves in, or allow others to place us in? And how can we begin to break through — to listen to the echoes calling us to freedom?”
