It could be the happenings prior to this day, or even other people’s matter that doesn’t necessarily concerns them, the Yoruba people call this act (Gbeborun, Amebo, Ofofo and more), but it is an unrevealed fact that this act is what keeps them going, despite the pain and hardship in the country.
The expression “Street of Gold” can literally be seen in the painting due to the use of colour, but it is much deeper than what is seen, it is said and believed that Nigeria is rich in oil, petroleum and other mineral resources but it is not beneficial to the people, neither do the funds generated circulate, but embezzled by those in high offices.
